Is a lawyer advising companies, public authorities, private individuals on administrative law, procurement law, and contract law.

‍Previously, as President of the Cantonal Court of Lucerne, he served at the canton’s highest court until 2021. He began his career in the judiciary as a trial court judge  for  debt and enforcement proceedings. He spent his first years post-qualification at various universities in Switzerland and foreign countries, at a Lucerne law firm, at the Swiss Competition Commission (COMCO), as well as at several District Courts in Switzerland. In 2023, he also obtained the Lucerne administrator's certificate for the assumption and execution of administrator mandates.

He holds a doctorate in law, and regularly publishes. He is a lecturer for civil law at the University of St. Gallen, as well as lecturer at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
